By the year 2025,
studies show that 60% of children in America will be children of
immigrants. Even though our parents' roots may stretch in many different
directions, we have much in common, according to my research and
interviews for my new book, PROUD AMERICANS: GROWING UP AS CHILDREN
OF IMMIGRANTS.
Our parents have had
high expectations for us to live the American dream, succeed in
the United States, and honor our religions, cultures and traditions.
